The future of American Idol

Posted by elegant On June - 19 - 2013

American Idol just concluded its season crowning yet another 2013 American Idol, Candice Glover. But the news that one of the remaining original judges, Randy Jackson, is leaving the American Idol dominated headlines soon after the 2013 show ended. Who will be returning to judge the singing contest is anybody’s guess at this time.

Reportedly Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey are out of the show and not returning for the 13th show. The host, Ryan Seacrest talking to Hollywood Reporter thinks that the show is important based on its successful record and believes that it will be back with new set of judges. He is proud of what previous winners as well as non-winners of the show have achieved in music and entertainment. He believes at least one of the current judges will return next season and likes to see one of the original judges, Simon Cowell, back on the show.

It appears that Jennifer Hudson, even though not a winner but has a very successful carrier will return as a judge. On the other hand, show producers are reportedly looking at revamping the show including the format and judges of the hit music talent show.

Do you know the true meaning of 4th of July?

Posted by elegant On June - 17 - 2013

July 4th is a day of celebration in the U.S. But many do not clearly understand the true meaning of independence. Great Britain keep asking all colonies pay higher and higher taxes. Few brave men began making plans to write their own rules and govern themselves rather than paying higher taxes to Great Britain. The Congress met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and appointed a committee to prepare a formal document that reflects their values and tell Great Britain that it likes to govern itself. The Committee selected Thomas Jefferson to prepare the document. He worked in secret and on June 28, 1776 Congress discussed Jefferson’s “fair” draft making changes to it. On July 2, 1776 they declared independence and on July 4, 1776 adopted the Declaration of Independence. That is how the Independence Day was born and the Congress asked all members risk their lives and sign the new document which began on August 2, 1776 and by January next year Congress distributed the signed copies of the new document to all states of the union. Thanks to few brave men who risked their lives for treason, we now celebrate our independence on every 4th of July.

Filming of the movie started in June and ended in August 2012 in Massachusetts. The cost of the movie estimated at $80 million. Due to the popularity of the previous movie and the family appeal, it could earn way more than the production price tag.

The movie is the first sequel for the returning star, Adam Sandler. The famed basketball star, Shaquille O’Neal plays as a cop in the movie. Former California Governor and film star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Patrick, is also due to appear as one of the frat brothers. Many critics have been brutal to the upcoming movie.
